ALL funds raised at the Ball remain in the White Mountains and will benefit Oncology & Chemotherapy Services at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center.

What happens at the Ball?
Basically, a lot of fun!
This lively event begins at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres,
no-host cocktails and the kick-off of the mountain’s largest
silent auction. This year the Ball theme is “The Roaring
Twenties”! White Mountain Big Band will be providing music
throughout the evening. This year’s silent auction offers
an array of golf and travel packages, fine art, jewelry,
gifts and collectibles. Peter Tims of White Mountain
Jewelers has donated a breathtaking ruby and diamond
necklace aptly name “Roaring Rubies” for our community
raffle. Tickets are $100 each; only 200 tickets will be
sold! The gourmet dinner begins at 7 p.m., followed by a
dessert auction, dancing, silent auction, live auctions, and
the raffle drawing. ONLY 200 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD for this year’s Denim and Diamonds Ball raffle! The raffle prize is a spectacular necklace designed and donated by Peter Tims of White Mountain Jewelers. The necklace is aptly named “The Roaring Rubies” to fit in with the theme of this years Ball; “The Roaring Twenties”. The 14 carat gold necklace consists of a gorgeous ¾ carat ruby in the center, surrounded by 176 smaller rubies and 27 diamonds. This stunning piece boasts a total of 5 carats of rubies and 5/8 of a carat in diamonds. “The Roaring Rubies” is on display at the Show Low store of White Mountain Jewelers. Tickets may be purchased at both locations of White Mountain Jewelers and from Summit Healthcare Administration (537-6399). Ticket prices are $100 each ~ only 200 tickets will be sold! The drawing will be held at the Seventh Annual Denim and Diamonds Ball on April 26. Need not be present to win. Sponsored by Summit Healthcare Foundation and Sierra Springs Ranch. All revenue from the Ball will support Oncology and Chemotherapy Services.
Why should I support the Ball? As the major referral hospital serving Arizona’s White Mountains, Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center provides leading-edge medical care and preventive health education to more than 18 communities. The quality of life in this region largely depends on the hospital’s ability to meet the healthcare needs of area residents and visitors. These needs are significant. In 2008, Summit Healthcare will purchase a medical linear accelerator to provide Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). IMRT is an advanced mode of high-precision radiotherapy that utilizes computer-controlled x-ray accelerators to deliver precise radiation doses to a malignant tumor or specific areas within the tumor. Because the ratio of normal tissue dose to tumor dose is reduced to a minimum with the IMRT approach, higher and more effective radiation doses can safely be delivered to tumors with fewer side effects compared with conventional radiotherapy techniques.
How can I become a sponsor or provide support? There are many ways to show your support. We encourage Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center’s business partners to become sponsors of the event, and there are several sponsorship categories available to make this possible.
How will my donation be recognized? Your company will be listed as a sponsor in the program and on a prominent sign displayed at the event. Your support will be acknowledged in an advertisement placed in the primary newspapers serving the White Mountains and in an article in the Summit Healthcare newsletter. A thank you letter and a receipt for your records will be mailed upon receipt of your check.
We hope you will join us for an unforgettable evening in the White Mountains!
