Spiritual Care
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love does not come to an end.
1 Corinthians 13

The Spiritual Care Committee is committed to creating a nurturing environment for the spiritual and emotional needs of the patients, families and staff. We respect the individuals’ spiritual choice regardless of their faith or perspective. We feel that cultivating peace is a prerequisite for good health.
Some of the caring efforts we demonstrate include the chaplaincy program, staff education, and providing prayer companions when needed. Staff at NRMC are encouraged to recognize the spiritual needs of the patient and offer assistance to the patient in obtaining clergy visitation. A chapel is available for spiritual counseling, meditation, and services. The role of the clergy in healthcare is welcomed, encouraged, and essential. It is the policy of NRMC to cooperate with the White Mountain religious community in providing for the spiritual needs of patients. All interested ministers, priest, bishops, etc. of the community rotate chaplaincy services on a weekly basis to make calls on patients.

The Spiritual Care Committee has created an inspirational book called “Blessings for All Seasons”, which is a compilation of comforting words that are the personal favorites of staff and include scriptures, poems, and stories.
