The Laboratory at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center provides full-service acute care lab, histology, pathology and transfusion services to inpatients and outpatients. Our team consists of board-certified pathologists, medical technologists and laboratory assistants. Laboratory services are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Advanced technology allows for rapid turnaround of a variety of tests.
Pathology Services
Pathology (the study of disease processes with the aim of understanding their nature and causes) consultation available, as well as fine needle biopsies for inpatients and outpatients.
Laboratory Services
Routine testing turn around time in four hours, ASAP testing in two hours, and STAT testing in one hour or less. Instrumentation accommodates small pediatric and geriatric samples.
Transfusion Services
Outpatient transfusions available.
